If anyone finds themselves in NZ and is looking for a nice souvenir: Opossums are an invasive species in NZ (originating from 'Stralia) and they're thus hunted (often roadkilled). If still suitable, their fur is often turned into clothing. Soft as angora, durable as lambswool.
