can you help me?
Hi there,
I hope you don’t mind me posting on here.. I really don't mean any harm. My name is Jake and I’m a documentary maker from a TV company in London. At the moment I’m trying to develop a documentary film around people who like wool. The documentary we have in mind is a sensitive and thoughtful look at those who work with, and are obsessed by, wool. I'm really at the early stages of learning about this wonderful subculture and interests of people in it and I’d love to pick YOUR brain!
My main aim is to create a film that is a good natured exploration of all things wool. I certainly don’t want to upset or offend anyone and would be happy to preserve anonymity if you or anyone else does wish to remain anonymous.
Being extremely interested in wool sweaters and having a wool fetish seems to me to be a pretty common thing but lots of people don’t want to talk about it. With this film I’d like to show just how common it is to have a thing for certain fabrics and hopefully help more people understand that they aren’t abnormal.
I'd love to hear from anyone who is happy to talk to me. At this first stage we could just exchange a few messages. Please equally feel free to tell me to F off! I just want to ask a few basic questions at first, no filming of recording whatsoever.
Thanks for your time,
JAKE

Please refrain from making this documentary.
There once was a documentary on German TV and I heard people in my office talk about it afterwards: there was no single positive word, for them we wool lovers were just a bunch of weirdos
Making our fetish more public just makes things worse: now we can wear a modest fuzzy sweater in public as men and no one seems to think much about it. If people are aware of this clothing style as a fetish we will be looked at as perverts.
I know this is not a very positive view, but I think this represents how people think and behave towards others. In general humans are not very tolerant.
So please don't do this documentary, it will harm the people here and make their lifes with their fetish less comfortable.
