"Rebeca" cardigan

Hi, I have learned that in Latin America "Rebeca" is a synonym for the classic twinset cardigan after Joan Fontaine wore one in the 1940 Hitchcock movie "Rebecca" starring her with Sir Laurence Olivier.

I am desperately searching for video clips or stills showing Joan in such a cardigan. As far as I know she also wore a twinset. The twin set was a brand new fashion item back in those days, having been invented by a Pringle designer in the 1930s.

Images of Joan Fontaine in twinsets would be appreciated.

Hi Kate,

A design classic that has not dated at all over 70 years! I found some nice images of the lush Joan in her twinset just by searching Google. They're not big and (obviously) black and white but do look nice. I'll e-mail them to you if you want to PM me.

They are very easy to find in Google, just enter "Joan Fontaine Rebecca" in Google Images.

There are also clips on youtube from Rebecca, sadly none where she wears the twinset. There is only one clip (the date in Nice), where the cardigan lies besides her on the bench and she wears a dress.
