Hi folks,

Isobel is a long time member of Melody and was one of the first ladies who offered a knitting service. She is a mohair expert and really loves the material. Her sweaters are more than fine and she can knit (nearly) anything you like. I know many people who bought sweaters from her and there was not one complain about make or quality.
One little disadvantage, she does not like to say "no" when she is asked if she is able to make a sweater. This resulted in some very long delivery times in the past. My advice, contact her, ask for what you would like and ask as well for a definite time range to deliver that item. You might as well say, that you are a member here  .

Woolly greetings,
Joe Al

The reason I asked is that I ordered something from her before Christmas and still have not received it. In my last email from her, she said that it had been sent Feb. 1, but she also said that a month ago. I will reserve any more details of my dealings with her until I see what happens by the end of the week, when she said the package should be here because she paid extra for priority shipping. I will let you all know how this works out.

Lots of promises and still no delivery of anything. She promised delivery in seven days and that was Jan. 22. She sent a tracking number last week but gave me no way of accessing it (Didn't provide the company name or web site so that I could see that it had been sent). Said she would call the company to see what was going on and haven't heard from her in three days. Very unresponsive. Said she was going to send photos and I still don't have any photos. Lots of talk and seemingly no action. I urge extreme caution for anyone thinking of ordering from this person. I have been exceedlingly patient with this woman because she told me she was having some health issues, however I think three months is more than enough time to either provide the item or return my money. I will keep you updated should their be any movement, but I don't expect any.

I have had exactly the same experience as furbound.

In addition to everything described -- which is almost identical, I was then promised a replacement would be sent, and then the entire experience repeated -- and still, no sweater.

I have long since given up getting either the sweater or a refund.

This is the first, and only time, in more than 20 years that I have had such a problem. I thought it was just me until I read furbound's experience.

I agree. Be forewarned.

I have been contacted by at least one other person as well. She sent an email yesterday that said my item has been sent The third time she has promised that) and that if it is not here by the end of the week, she will refund my money. I will let you know.

I think the fine folks at this Web site should think about banning her as a member if she is committing fraud. I have contacted Ebay about her fraudulent practices and haven't heard anything back yet. If I don't get a refund or my item I am moving to the next level.

Thanks for the input. I will update this thread if anything happens. You would think that she would fix this before it gets out of hand, but it is easier to do nothing I suppose.

Is this the same mohairknitter who has posted a thread below "Amazing thick knits"
If it is you would think by the amount of negative comment she has had that she would have better things to do than post links i.e start knitting and delivering the goods she has been paid for.
If this isnt the same person then i apologise and maybe a name change would be in order
