OMG....$303 for a sweater
In Norway, the equivalent of $ 300 is not uncommon at all for a sweater made with real and good materials. A female friend of mine works in a fashion boutique, and even with staff discount, she moves in that price range on sweaters and cardis. Brand names, but not handmade.
Good thing is that she loves getting compliments to these sweaters, and way too few people (as we so well know) remember to compliment sweaters.
I also impress her greatly by identifying the wool correctly, although a angora, mohair and merino mix confused me a bit. In a bar, I once confessed in a low voice that "I know about sweaters". She just smiled and said "so I've gathered..."
However, expensive wool, brand names and European price level... $ 300 is not uncommon and surely not unheard of.
