Re: Cardimart?
Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fotopic.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; if you want to see what happened to Fotopic. I had a gallery there too. I'm looking at google's Picasa as a possible replacement. It has a tool to upload whole folder trees of pics to their server (I think) and I don't need any fancy features.
The original owners/developers of Fotopic (who sold to Snappy Designs) are developing a new photo hosting servive called Pikfu.

Re: Cardimart?
Hi Everyone, please don't worry, I'm still here and as daft as ever. I am understandably mightily pissed off about Fotopic just dying without warning. Six years and 13000 pics (and the small matter of a 1000000+ hits) gone overnight. Life goes on; my laptop is starting to bulge with cardigan/sweater fetish pics and I am looking for new home. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Sun's out in Yorkshire but keep buttoned up!
Cheers,
Cardimart

Re: Cardimart?
Hi all,
It's time to get my cardigan and sweater collection started again but I need a host that is accessible and free to all and reasonably cheap for me! So I'm not asking much. I cannot do Flickr (it's complicated!) but would welcome any suggestions for host.
Please get back to me and keep buttoned up!

Re: Cardimart?
Hiya.
I started using Google's Picasa Web Albums for one project.
http://picasaweb.google.com
You get 1GB free and if you use the desktop image editor/organiser tool (free to download & use) - it's real easy to upload whole folders of images to your Web Albums at one go.
When creating a google account to use Web Albums, you don't need a GoogleMail address. Any email address you use will do.

Re: Cardimart?
Hi Naomi,
Thanks for the reply; I liked the look of Picasa but found Google a little intrusive by way of verifying my account via my mobile number. There were a couple of other things I was not too keen about. I'm going to look at Photobucket and Snapfish.
I'll keep you posted. keep buttoned up!

Re: Cardimart?
Ooooh! That's a new one. I didn't have to do that when I tried it out setting up a basic Google account - not a google email account. If it was an optional one, I would have ignored it. What if you don't have a mobile number?cardimart wrote:Google a little intrusive by way of verifying my account via my mobile number.
