An Introduction... Its been 13 Years
An Introduction... Its been 13 Years
Its hard to start off honestly, as I've been creeping in the shadows for over a decade. Wanted to avoid the community as much as possible, but I mean no offense, as I just approach this and my fur fetish differently perhaps. I visit this site, and have visited many over the years everyday. I was an avid fan of the original Melody before it was shutdown for reasons I no longer remember. At the time I had been exploring a fur fetish from an age I no longer remember. With only an old raccoon coat, which was acquired at the age of 12, this new discovery of wool and women in sweaters was not only very exciting, but much more convenient and inexpensive for a pre-teen adolescent. From there it only evolved, and honestly has almost become rampant and a hole in my finances. Its insatiable, and think about it all the time. Always looking out on television, movies, on the streets, or at the mall for wooly or fluffy sweaters. I'm 25 now, in the military, and have a fellow army member as a roommate. Its a secret that is almost far too large too hide now, as space is gradually running out in my closet and under my bed for the storage of sweaters and fur. If such a secret had gotten out, it could be pretty detrimental not only on my career but perhaps my psyche... "The army dont like different"
So I ask..
How do you all deal with it, even control it?
How large of a collection do you have? As collecting seems to be a big part of it...
How long have you had the fetish, and how has it evolved over the years?
What are some storage ideas? Haha.. but I'm serious
I leave you now with a small bit of my collection, just the chunkiest woolies I have. Many more angora and mohair tucked away.

Hi there,
Well it is a challenge isn't it !!!
Dealing with it is tough - its an obsession. Controlling it is tough - you can't.
You see for me i tried to stop - i went cold turkey - no buying - no site looking - i even got rid of some of my collection. Then i broke - saw a devine lady in the most awsome angora & i went back to building a collection & visiting sites.
My collection is all angoras now - had mohairs (love hate with those) but got rid, now wish i had them - some chunky wool but not much but want more. I would say i have about 30 angoras.
Had my fetish since i was 5 - fell in love with a teacher who wore a big pink mohair jumper. Then my aunt, then my mums friends then girlfriends. I am now 40, still love it all - my wife has some in her collection (she knows not of mine ) we sometimes #$%& in the winter in her angoras or if she is feeling inclined to treat me.
Storage - well for me our loft & garage is the place to hide - i mean store the angoras. I guess both of these are out for you. Get a bit trunk with a big lock !!!
Love your chunky wools - show us the angoras sometime

I'm sorry I have not replied earlier. I totally understand your concerns here.
First of all I want you to know you are not alone. There are many people who get the same feelings when it comes to soft fuzzy clothes. Please do not feel down on yourself and do not believe you have something wrong. This obsesssion is part of who you are. I'm 56 years old and have been there and done that.
which brings us to the second problem... who should you let know about your true self? Well from what I read my advise is to continue to hold this part of you close to yourself. You will have to remain in the closet per say. even I have to be careful when going into pubic situations with what I am wearing because it can make others uncomfortable. I can tell you as I age it has become easier because I have a loving and supportive partner.
Which comes the third part when and whom do you reveal yourself to? I can say from experance if you are dating and want to have a close relationship with someone you will need to have this conversation sooner as to later. Better to know if they are uncomforatble early on, than to have this train wreck a relationship a year down the road.
and finally, I have over a thousand sweaters, and a big problem buying sweaters everyday. You do need to live within your means. believe me you have time to get all the fuzzy you want in your lifetime, you do not need to buy all of them today. Learn to clean your things and use them over.
well that is about all I have to say about that. IM me if you like, always glad to lend and ear to a person of fuzzyness...
I'm not a very smart man but I know what love is....
Charlie
I believe that it is NOT too late to believe.
I am one with you we make two and then three, thus the beginning... of Peace on Earth.

Welcome.
It is a quite harmless fetish, but I understand your concerns and feel like I must offer some advice. You are not a victim of your fetish, but you have become a collector. It is a fine line to av fanatic collector and then a hoarder. Trust me, you don't need a lot of sweaters handy at any time. I have actually never collected wool (I just like it on women anyway), but I have been an avid collector of other things. I'm pretty much cured now, having moved to a smaller flat.
Rule number two is to make selections, and how much room you have may be crucial.
Rule number one is to enjoy your fetish, don't ever let it consume you and certainly don't let it block your career or otherwise be an obstacle in your life.
Oh, and don't be too open about it, either, not in your line of work. If you were an artist, you could be open. Come to this forum to share instead.
