Unfortunately, JodieTV weren't able to take on the mod job. Sometimes there just is no time, and we respect that. Hopefully Jodie will join us again soon as an active member for starters.

But for the moment, I'm the sole administrator and moderator on the forum. :(

Walter,

Please don't hesitate to send e-mail or PM if there is a problem that you need help with.

I don't patrol here too frequently because I don't want to interfere.
However, given the increase in spamming, I will make an effort to visit more often and kill any spam I find.

I have just finished a quick sweep of the board and I have deactivated a few spammer accounts that I found.

In the future, if you or anybody else find a spam message, I will do what I can to help.
Just send a PM or an e-mail to my address of record at the Fur Den.

P.S.: I try to be as careful as I can when deleting spammer accounts but, if there is a real member whose account I accidentally pick up in one of my sweeps, I apologize.
If you send me an e-mail stating that you are a "real" person, I will restore your account to its original status.

Walter,

I am trying to check in, too.

Hope I don't move a member's post by accident!

For the moment, I appreciate spamming alerts - for those who can, killing off the sod helps even more. The spam we deal with is not hard to identify if you first stumble on the post, though.

One who is more familiar with the membership of Melody would be best suited for anti-spam patrol.

I can check on the site's records to see how long a person has been a member and to see if he has made other posts which were not spam. A moderator who knows the membership of Melody and who knows their habits is the best judge of who is a "good guy" and who is a "bad guy."

I will always try to be available to help but, since I don't visit every day, it is possible that I will accidentally remove the post(s) of a legitimate member. 90% of the time it is possible to restore them so, if I do make a mistake, please let me know and I will do my best to "undo."

The best solution would be to have a member of Melody assist with moderation duties.

Sometimes, when you've been having a bad day and need to get the aggression out of your system, putting the "smack down" on a spammer or two can be good therapy!
"Take THAT!! You @$$!"
