The "Best sweater"
Hello, dear knitting lovers! First of all all want to thank every single user in this forum for all the wonderful ideas that you have shared here. I have learned a lot from you ) Here is my story. I am 23 years old man(yes not a boy! ) from Bulgaria and i just love hand knitted crafts! My mom is a great knitter for over 30 years which is a great privilege because she makes everything i want for me )) We were talking one day and i have decided to help her make her own hand knitted crafts shop, and she got so exited! Most of all because more people will wear her sweaters. She can knit everything but we didn`t know what is most appreciated worldwide. So i started researching and researching... We started a tiny business on Ebay, with my gorgeous girlfriend as a model:))) Yes i am a happy man! And things go.. but slowly. I really think that this is a great idea and i want to help her excell. Then i saw my girlfriend on this website! So i would really really aprreciate if you could tell us what to knit. Every single advise will be a huge favour! Oh i have so many questions! ))) But for starts what do you think of our sweaters? They are not listed right now but i will give you link from this forum ))

bbwool/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11696&p=822 ... d45#p82259" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So my first question is about our first collection. What should we do different? What would make my mom`s sweaters the best? ))
Thank you very much in advance, i am so exited to scribe here!!! ))))

Re: The "Best sweater"
The sweaters are amazing. They are just the kind I wish my wife would wear. I would love to get my hands on just one of them. They look so thick, so warm and so beautiful. Your girl friend is beautiful as well and looks so good in the sweaters. I am very jealous that you have found a girl that likes big thick warm wooly sweaters.

Re: The "Best sweater"
Thank you so much for the wonderful words! There is one think that i really can`t figure out. Some other knitters on Ebay claim that their sweaters weight 1kg , 1.5kg or even above 2 kg! My mom told me she uses english elastic cast-on which makes the most Stretchy (and heavy) sweaters and the still weight around 0,5kg. Are they misleading people or we are doing something wrong?
Re: The "Best sweater"
You are a very lucky man. Your sweaters are gorgeous and your girlfriend even more so. And your girlfriend in the sweaters are beyond words. Happy on your behalf, and please have your mother keep the knitting up
Thank you for sharing anyway

My wife has two sweaters from Modetempel and they weigh 1.5 kilograms.

First of all: congratulations for your nice knitwear.
And thanks for showing up here. I've always wondered why the knitters are so shy about their primary buyers, which - I guess - origin from these forums by 99%
Tastes differ, obviously, but what I like (and still miss in nearly all of the auctions and offers out there) are:

Tastes differ, obviously, but what I like (and still miss in nearly all of the auctions and offers out there) are:
- a "stable" rollneck (you can see the problem in the auction images: the rollneck is often held - it's too sloppy and tends to fall down). Hard to accomplish with soft wool, but some knitters seem to know some way.
- cuffs of reasonable length, tightly fitting and clearly distinguished (I love cozy wrists )
- reasonable sizes: my wife wears size S. In most of the handknitted sweaters (luckyreda, supertanya, ...) she would fit twice! Bulky isn't sexy on women ... at least not for me.
