Hate to do this but...read about Mohairknitter!
Well, I know some of you find this distasteful but if it helps one other person not get taken by Mohairknitter then it is worth it to me. More than a year ago I ordered from her and am still waiting on part of the order. The ordeal one has to go through with this person is unreal. She seems nice enough, but there is absolutely no follow through and she makes to excuses. I finally got my part of my order (probably as a result of this forum) a while back and was told that the balacava (she forgot to include in the order) would be sent ASAP as possible. Weeks turned into months and guess what, still no complete order. Sorry to say, I will never do business with this person again! She tries to blame it on the RMS but I have never had any problems related to the Royal Mail Service. Just though this forum should be aware.

Hi Furbound,
we have had some more complains of a few members. Some have been completely solved and some are still open cases.
On the other hand I have many reports of members and friends who did receive everything they ordered fast and complete.
On Woolfreaks board Mohairknitter (Isobel) declared that she is willing to solve all leftover cases and avoid these difficulties in the future.
Let me ask all of you who are still waiting for a delivery or refund to write to her again.
Woolly greetings,
Joe Al

A fine solution. I have already written to her nicely on more than five occassions and have gotten either its in the mail or no response. I count myself lucky to have gotten part of my order. She has used every excuse in the book from her health to computer problems to the mail service, all more than once. She does great work, but the customer should not have to babysit her to get what they pay for and its not cheap either. I appreciate any help this forum can offer, but I feel compelled to warn others about this.
Well, I've kept quiet so far because I believe Isobel's problem is either patology or psychological. I believe she does not intend to cause anyone this sort of distress.
As for myself, I made in the past various purchases, some came in on time and some didn't get to me at all.
The excuses and delays are constant, and eventually, the last time I ordered stuff from Isobel, some 2.5 years ago, I got partial order and demanded refund of the rest (over $500 U.S.). I'm happy to not have had to use my skills and connections as a policeman to get there. The refund came through to my PayPal account, but there, if you're not in a country where you can have an interaction between PayPal and a bank account, all you can do with such a refund is use it till it's all spent on stuff that can be paid with PayPal. I'm in Israel...
I also see things I ordered and described in detail, being bragged with by others who bought them months and sometimes years after my order.
Joe Al, I quote your post about it, because if a refund is not made within some 2 months after the transaction, PayPal doesn't refund it back to your Credit card or bank account and if you're not in a country where your PayPal money can be drawn from your bank account, all you can do with that refund is spend it on the web with places that accept PayPal payments. I think when resolving such disputes with Isobel, this should be known before hand.
In general, I agree with facts and Isobel does do wonders with her works. Only the reliability factor suffers. Therefor I find it right to recommend to all who see this (And I'm sure Isobel will, as a confidence building measure agree too), that with Isobel, transactions should be done either through an escrow service or with PayPal and that no matter what sort of shipment is chosen and where you are on the face of the planet, if within 29 days of transaction on PayPal you haven't gotten your order in full, that you file a dispute on PayPal (and if it was on eBay, there too).
This should after a while that everyone do it, bring Isobel to her senses and the incidents where these measures are proven necessary, will be less and less .... It's a pitty to have to go through all this for such a bright and skilful knit artist as Isobel, but ... Oh well...
Best regards from here to all ,
Shai

Joe,
I appreciate your optimism, but her issues are not organizational problems. She either doesn't care about her customers or she is simply ripping them off. Either way, she should be boycotted so that a clear message is sent that this kind of business will not be tolerated or supported by this community.

Hi Furbound,
I do know of a couple of cases she solved and I do know of many cases which were 100% fast and all right. We are talking about few unsolved cases and I want to give her a chance.
If you say that you will never buy anything again from her and would suggest that to the members I can indeed understand that as well.
Woolly greetings,
Joe Al

Hi folks,
as far as I know, Furbound has now got a refund for his order.
IMHO Iz does not remember who did not, or did not completely receive his order. Since she does not want that happen again in the future she now sells items via eBay which are ready to send only, a wise decision , and takes (nearly) no orders anymore.
So, if you are still waiting please be so kind and mail Iz to clear things!
