no longer boring !!!! :-)
Hi Kate
If you're like me, you'll barely get the time to sit at a computer for enjoyment. But speaking for myself, when I do get the chance to look at the posts here, I'm quite appreciative that people have taken the time to post links.
When I go to the theatre and the show is crap, I have a right to complain because I've invested something of myself (money) and I expect a return (enjoyment). It's a very different scenario when the show is free. The only people who have the right to complain on this site are the moderators and people who post regularly, especially Tiroler. Have you ever heard him complain? Me neither.
It's very easy to contribute. Just go to google, punch in your topic of interest, and click 'Images'. And then post here anything on topic.

Well...check out sweaterparadise.... there most things are about cardigans. (pretty boring if you ask me...)KateTwinset wrote:I found this place rather boring recently. Too many fashion links, less interesting sweater and cardigan related stuff. Other areas (for example flickr) have been much more interesting recently ....

Very funny! Sometimes that's how I think people do it. That's a classic example of a link that could use a description: Small grainy picture of a dog (literally, a dog) wearing a (worse yet) non-fuzzy sweaterIt's very easy to contribute. Not boring at all!
Hi,
I recently came back to Melodyohair and do not find it boring any more at all!
Three exciting things I love this winter season:
- Thick cardigans with big buttons
- Vee-neck cardies with proper trim and big buttons
- Cardigans of that type worn under those fashionable shiny puffjackets and puff waistcoats
Yummy!

Re: boring
Sorry Kate. That doesn't do anything for me. But then that's the point. On a forum like this - where wool is the key, different people like different aspects of that - specialisims if you like. We know our own likings, and it's nice to learn what others like. We share links here, sometimes they might show some knitwear that one (or hopefully lots) of us like, and sometimes it's some knitwear that doesn't do anything for us. It's the sharing thing that's nice. We find a link and we share it here - and the hard work that's done in finding links and posting them is appreciated by the rest of us.Example of very exciting stuff in flickr:
and the overwelming majority of those depicted knitwear of some sort or other - so not all that boring really.Too many fashion links
My own favs - lambswool, mohair or angora sweaterdresses (and sweaters too) with roll or cowl necks together with thick knitted (cable or rib) tights. Even better if the knitwear is an unusual design.
Naomi.

hey sweaterdress, you should read my whole recent posting. I stressed that melody has improved a lot and I do not find it boring any more at all.

Re: no longer boring !!!! :-)
My main thought is that people these days are getting to be such smart asses on the web. I agree with Jodie, I wouldn 't have the nerve to criticize someone else's hard work with which they at least provide a spot for you to even post such a silly comment!!!
Whooooooaaaaaah!
