Fetishpix.org infected?

Post by pdw1234pdw » Sun Jun 19, 2011 9:11 pm

When I want to go to fetishpix.org, Google warns me that their site is infected and could possibly harm my computer.

Would they know it and do they know what to do with it?

and what will we do in the meantime? just enter or staying away from the (very good) site?

The long thread explaining the situation is at http://www.fetishpix.org/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=9784" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . But basically, visit if you're comfortable with taking a little risk. My method is to disable my Safari fraudulent site warning under the Security tab, then turn it back on afterward. But I'm admittedly casual about viruses since I'm on an imac - something I'll eventually regret. The infection will supposedly go away in a few weeks.

I have a an older Macbook but I can't find that setting. It's about 4 years old. If you know and it's not too much trouble, could you walk me through it. sorry to ask.

I get that Message as well.

As well it says that the Site was checked on 06.07.2011 and was set to Hostile.

I on my side I take this serious and can keep my fingers away from that Site.

I was able to get on using Firefox for two days until it started giving me the same malware message. The Admins. need to fix. But I guess until it shuts down the whole site no one is going to do anything.

It still gives the same message, but you can decide to go on.

I read the details of the threat and it is IMHO a minor one and only related to websites to which their are links to, so not on fetishpix.org itself, i think.

i tried it several times now and I'm not infected.
